What size are the cover files?
In the default 8.5 × 11 in paperback setup, Front and Back are 2550 × 3300 px each and Spine is 167 × 3300 px, all at 300 DPI. Download each one as PNG, JPG or PDF, or take all three in one ZIP.
Why is the spine 167 px wide when I set 0.5577 in?
An image file cannot hold a fraction of a pixel. 0.5577 in × 300 DPI is 167.31 px, which rounds to 167 px (0.5567 in). The PDF version uses the exact 0.5577 in.
Does KDP accept three separate files?
No. For a paperback, KDP asks for one PDF with back, spine and front together, including bleed. This app makes that “Full wrap” PDF too. Use the three separate files for mockups, other printers, ads and your own records.
How do I get the right spine width for KDP?
KDP’s formula is page count × paper thickness: 0.002252 in per page for white paper and standard color, 0.0025 for cream, 0.002347 for premium color. Choose “From page count” in Setup. About 248 pages of white paper gives 0.5577 in.
Where do the photos come from?
You can generate photoreal images with AI (Cloudflare Workers AI when the site owner has connected it, or Pollinations with no account), upload your own, or search free and public-domain sources: Wikimedia Commons, The Met, Art Institute of Chicago, NASA and Openverse. Pexels and Pixabay work with your own free key.
Do I need to tell KDP I used AI?
Yes. When you publish a new title KDP asks whether it contains AI-generated content, and cover images made with an AI image tool count. Answer that question honestly in KDP’s publishing form.
Will neon colors print as bright as on screen?
No. Screens glow in RGB light, but printers use CMYK ink, which cannot reach fluorescent pinks, cyans and yellows. Keep the title readable through contrast, and order a proof copy before you launch.
Can I install it on my phone?
Yes. Open the site in Chrome or Safari and choose Install app or Add to Home Screen. Editing keeps working without a connection once it is installed. AI images and stock search need the internet.
Is my work saved?
Yes, automatically, inside your browser on this device. Nothing is uploaded unless you use AI or stock search. Use Projects → Save project file to keep a backup you can move to another device.
